"This gives hope about the future of Jakarta, children who are full of innovation, taking advantage of technological developments, artificial intelligence, robotics, and various things, the internet of things," said Pramono, Tuesday (7/28).

Pramono stated that Jakarta's future lies in the hands of today's youth. He believes the various works created at the event can address urban challenges, including the smart city concept.

"They have so many different angles to see how to solve this city's problems. As Lintang did, creating a smart city," he added.

Pramono believes that this competition will produce innovators who can solve various problems facing Jakarta.

The Jakarta Provincial Government, he continued, is also committed to facilitating the winners to compete at the national and international levels.

The Jakarta Robotic Games 2026 event, initiated by the Jakarta Provincial Communication, Informatics, and Statistics Agency, provides a platform for young people to explore their talents and improve their digital literacy.

Head of the Communication, Informatics and Statistics Agency, Marulina Dewi admitted students' enthusiasm for this competition was extremely high, with 300 teams registered to participate.

The assessment in this competition also covers various aspects, starting from coding skills, technical skills, creativity, and innovation.

"Some of these categories are tailored to the needs of Jakarta. It includes coding robot applications at the elementary school level, robot walkers, and, most uniquely, city design," she admitted.

Meanwhile, the General Chair of the Indonesian Robotics Association (PRSI), Wahyu Hidayat, appreciated the Jakarta Provincial Government for providing space to develop the skills of young talents in the digital field.

"Our deepest gratitude and highest appreciation to the Jakarta Provincial Government, which has given us the space to partner and collaborate to organize this extraordinary event," he said.

He hopes this competition can grow the technology ecosystem in Jakarta, one of which is by providing learning in robotics, AI technology, and others.

"Hopefully in the future we will continue to work together to build a more sophisticated Jakarta," he hoped.
